Alice Pizza should be studied, not just eaten. Jen and I got invited to an AI event—where, ironically, Jen felt like she needed a software update. But the real upgrade of the night? The pizza. They served three pies: plain, potato, and a “Philly special.” I went in expecting cheesesteak on that one… nope. Curveball. But the pesto? Absolutely carried it—fresh, bold, and the star of the slice. Now let’s talk about the surprise hit: the potato pie. Yes, potato. And yes, it might’ve been my favorite. The potatoes were soft—perfectly mushy in the best possible way—paired with this spicy, cheesy, Alfredo-style sauce that just worked. Way better than it sounds, trust me. The plain slice held its own too—simple, solid, no complaints. Alice Pizza isn’t just different—they’re doing something right

Stopped in during a layover. We sat and came in for pizza but ended up sitting and eating gelato and ice cream. It was very delicious and as a person who doesn’t like too much of something, the small size was perfect! Took the spicy tomato slice to Go. The pricing was a first for me as it was priced by the ounce. It seemed a little small in there for the amount of traffic that was coming through.

Had this on my list of places to try, but I don’t know why. Glad I did, it was excellent. Pizza was outstanding. Get the Philly Special. We tried 4 different slices and all were good. The 4 cheese/mushroom was also outstanding. Finished with a piece of cheesecake and some gelato. Well done Alice.

Roma style pizza is my absolute favourite style of pizza so was super happy to come across this pizzeria in Philly. Great value and we enjoyed a quick slice before the opera. Will be back very soon!

The Amatriciana pasta is the best I’ve had so far here in the States (with the exception of when I make it at home). The “homemade long thick Semolina Pici pasta” used is excellent – much better than the typical dried pasta. It was cooked just right and nicely chewy. As for the sauce… that was quite good, though different from what I’ve been served in Rome. The sauce was full of little chunks of meat (my guess would be pancetta, though perhaps it was a mild guanciale). I’m used to fewer, larger pieces of guanciale (ideally crunchy, though usually not). So it was a good pork-based meat sauce, just a bit atypical for Amatriciana IMHO. The Pachino E Bufala Mozzarella pizza was also very good. The pizza crust was the standout rather than the toppings. Crust is light and crisp, not thin, and has a noticeable sourdough flavor. We are definitely looking forward to trying more of their pizza again because we really enjoy this style of pizza crust. Atmosphere and service here are both pleasant. The pastries in the display counter look great and will tempt you. Also gelato. Have not tried it yet but it looks amazing.
