Experience was great. It's on river east, not a well populated (dare I say hidden gem) ck park sandwich was amazing. The "Rita" and the "Carne" pizzas were fantastic. Adult drinks were solid. The mocktails looked so good I wanted to have them with alcohol. 😁

An Authentic Pizza Experience in Downtown Chicago The menu is simple and focused, but that’s exactly what makes it special—the pizza speaks for itself. Easily one of the best pizzas I’ve had in the area, and it truly feels like Italian-style pizza done right. A standout on the menu is the Rita pizza, which was absolutely excellent and a must-try if you’re visiting. As for portions, if you’re really hungry, one person can easily finish a whole pizza. Otherwise, two pizzas comfortably feed three people. The ambiance is bustling and lively, especially during peak hours. Our waitress was knowledgeable and helpful although service can be a bit slow during busy times. The restaurant offers multiple seating options—comfortable indoor seating, outdoor seating along the walkway, and even tables by the slip, which makes for a nice setting if you enjoy dining near the water. This spot was recommended by a friend, and it definitely lived up to the hype. While there are multiple entrances, the walkway entrance with the front desk is the easiest to access. If you’re looking for a true, authentic pizza experience in Chicago, I highly recommend this place, and I will definitely return for more.

To those of you who are tourists, you need to know first and foremost, this is NOT Chicago style deep dish pizza. It's woorfired hand tossed pizza. And that's actually a good thing. There's a lot of hype around this place due to the number of awards they've won and the number of "Best Pizza" lists they are on. So, there's almost always going to be a sizeable wait if you just walk-in. Get a reservation instead. Is the Hype real? Yes. The crust has a good crisp to it and the tomato sauce is light and breezy with just enough flavor as to not overshadow the ingredients. Sausage is some of the best in the area. Pepperoni has a very nice snap and a satisfying zip. Mushrooms are fresh and understated. Black olives have flavor without the lingering brine taste that you get from a jar. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered our pizza and had it at our table within 10 min despite the place being packed to the hills with diners. They do have a number of standard cocktails on the menu. I would avoid those and instead look to their drink specials which seem to be made with more care and have more flair. It's a pricey experience, but well worth the cost.

Sooo Robert’s Pizza and Dough Company was such a tasty stop! Everything felt fresh and light, which I really appreciated. We sat outside by the water, and the view was really nice. There’s plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, which is a plus. I’m always down for good pizza and pasta, and this spot delivered. I’d definitely go back!

> Ordered a pepperoni pizza for takeout on a Sunday night. The atmosphere score is low mainly because there really wasn’t much customer interaction beyond taking my money and name. It didn’t feel very welcoming or memorable as a pickup experience. The wait time was about 30 minutes for a single pizza despite it not being busy, and unfortunately the pizza wasn’t very hot when I received it, which made it feel like it may have been sitting for a while before pickup. The total came out to a little over $30. As far as taste goes, I won’t lie — the pizza was delicious. The sauce, cheese, and pepperoni all worked really well together, and the pepperoni had a nice crisp to it. That said, this feels more like a $20 pie than a $30+ one in my opinion. I can appreciate the style where the toppings don’t go all the way to the edge, but nearly 40% of the crust was plain. Including a dipping sauce with the order would go a long way because otherwise a lot of that crust ends up going to waste. Another downside for me personally is that they don’t offer deep dish pizza. Overall: tasty pizza with quality ingredients, but the pricing, wait time, and overall pickup experience kept it from being a higher-rated visit for me.
