My first Chicago deep dish experience and I couldn’t have been happier. The pizza was unlike anything I’ve ever had, in a good way. Definitely one of the better pizzas I’ve had in my life. The staff was also quite pleasant! The toppings were good, but honestly the plain slice has so much flavor and texture going on that you don’t really need any toppings in my opinion.

Such satisfying slice of Chicago pan pizza. So appreciative of the option to buy by the slice. Reasonable pricing, not up charging like some chains reportedly do (per advice from locals). Thin crust, pan, and deep-dish varieties on offer in various flavors. Tried the pan pizza as a more moderate form than deep-dish. The crust was golden warm and crunchy, the bready dough perfect for a carb-lover, soaked with the dairy goodness from the pull-perfect mozzarella cheese and sprinkling of sausage, green onion, onion, and mushroom.

I could smell the pizza walking down the street. The Art of Pizza is a spot I’ve walked past a few times but the smell of that pizza was enough to make me stop that day. Walking in the restaurant, it’s small and cozy. There are a few tables and chairs (seats around 20 people at a time). I went around 4:00pm on a Saturday and it was pretty packed. I had a slice of the pepperoni pizza, thin slice (iykyk). The pizza was good! The crust was nice and crispy but not overly tough. The pizza sauce was a tad sweet but the cheese and pepperoni tapered the sweetness well. I also had the lemonade (fountain drink), which was probably Minute Maid. I paid $7.77. I’ll have to go back and try some of the other menu items soon 😊

While most places make you commit to a whole pie (and a 45-minute wait), you can walk in here and grab a massive, high-quality slice of deep dish or stuffed pizza immediately. • The Crust: Their award-winning crust is the perfect middle ground—buttery and golden-brown with enough structural integrity to hold up their generous amounts of cheese and chunky tomato sauce. • Variety beyond Deep Dish: While the deep dish gets the headlines, their thin-crust and "Grandma style" options are equally impressive, featuring a slightly sweet sauce that locals rave about. • Value: It is consistently cited as one of the best values in downtown Chicago. You can get a filling meal for a fraction of what you'd spend at the nearby "big name" pizzerias. Pro Tip: If you aren't feeling pizza, their Italian beef sandwiches and meatballs are surprisingly excellent "under-the-radar" picks that many people overlook.

As an out-of-towner, this is a great solution to wanting a Chicago slice without getting a whole pie! We loved the pizza here and the service was friendly 😀 thank you Art of Pizza! 10/10 highly recommend! And a lovely mural depicting your beautiful city 🤘💕
