Pizza To The Rescue

First visit due to AZ Restaurant Week - on a Sunday, quite busy with families, probably due to puppies scheduled at 6pm (we arrived at 5pm).  Three of us sat outside, which can be noisy just because patio is right next to busy & heavily-trafficked street - but pleasant enough, be sure to get some shade towards the East side if you're there in the late afternoon.  Starters:  Beets and Chevre (nice but screamed out for a piece of bread or a roll) and Roasted Artichokes (ok).  Mains:  Meat Lovers' pizza (1st choice was lasagna but told they were out after order submitted) and for a $10 upcharge Branzino.  Pizza very tasty and substantial, quite enough for 2 or 3 to share.  Branzino came skin-on and a side of arugula with balsamic dressing.  (also ok).  Chosen desserts were tiramisu and cheesecake (cheesecake reported to be Gluten-Free, which was necessary for one diner) -- then told they were out of cheesecake at time of dessert service.  Gluten-free diner was brought the 3rd choice, strawberry shortcake without the shortcake (which was quite pleasant) and mgr apologized along with 3 coupons for a free dessert at a later visit; that was appreciated.  Our server Jamie was hammered by the busy crowd but maintained a wonderful, cheery attitude which should be commended.   We'd enjoy coming back on a less-chaotic day.   And the concept - supporting dog rescues & adoptions - is a great idea and worth a visit for that alone.

LOVE this place. Best happy hour menu ever. So many excellent food choices and everything is such quality stuff. We even chose to have our small wedding reception here. They were so lovely and helpful, especially Michelle on the day. This is quickly become our favorite pizza place!

We needed some place with a patio so we could bring our dog with us. I had heard they had good pizza here, and this place did not dissapoint. The charred beet and goat cheese appetizer was great and all the flavors complemented each other. Pizza was pretty good, light and crispy. Need to come back and try their pasta and calzone. Lots of spirits to choose from - the strawberry gin was great. The servers were very friendly and brought our dog water. They even have a dog menu! 25% of pizza sales goes to the dog rescue next door.

I ordered to go, a very nice cozy location with a nice patio. I ordered focacaccia, Caesar salad, and a pepperoni and onion pizza. The focacccia was amazing so was the pizza very good crust and organic sauce. The Caesar salad was very fresh.

Best restaurant week deal, they also have amazing happy hour. Delicious pizzas and phenomenal desserts! My only complaint is I wish there were more puppies! 😂
