Min Siegel 2 months agoI ordered to-go: one thin pizza and one Detroit style. The thin one was awesome! We couldn’t taste the hot honey we’d bought as a topping, so I think next time we’ll just buy a bottle and add that ourselves at home. The Detroit pizza was very disappointing and odd to us. The only sauce it had was plopped on top, and the cardboard soaked it up. The interior was very chewy and wet.. we didn’t think it was quite cooked all the way, and it went uneaten. We’ve had a lot of Detroit style pizzas, but none like that. Maybe it’s better in person, with sauce? We’ll skip that style next time, and stick to the thin crust, which we did really enjoy.
Dave P 2 weeks agoOnce again, the new owner's 20 something team has managed to send out a pizza that never should have left the kitchen. This small sausage and mushroom pizza had most of the cheese concentrated in the center, leaving approximately a 3-inch ring around the edge with no cheese at all. In addition, it contained only seven penny-sized pieces of sausage and about six slices of mushroom. I have spoken with both the owner and Hannah multiple times about pizzas and salads with missing ingredients, yet nothing changes. It is extremely disappointing and frustrating to have to drive back to the restaurant to address issues that should have been caught before the food was served. The owner appears unwilling to hire an experienced manager to oversee quality control, and the result is a product that is consistently falling short of low expectations. What makes this especially sad is that the previous owner and his wife spent decades building this business by taking pride in the food they served and ensuring customers received a quality product. Unfortunately, that commitment to quality no longer seems to exist.
Jer a month agoOkay, I want to preface this with the fact that the brunch menu Breakfast Pizza is absolutely amazing, genuinely one of the best pizzas I've ever had. I loved the sausage gravy base, so today I decided to order the biscuits and gravy because I knew I liked the gravy on the pizza. Big mistake. The photo included is what I was given, and maybe it's my southern roots, but in what world is this even remotely close to biscuits and gravy? The menu on their website has no photo and the written description mentions nothing about it being a "take" on biscuits and gravy. The chunks of dough I can only explain as funnel cake-esque and the sausage gravy was exceptionally thin and felt more like a weird sauce than actual gravy. Flavor wise it was okay but please for the love of God if you're going to sell this weird version of biscuits and gravy, at least warn people in the description on the website or with a photo. I will be back, just not for the biscuits and gravy
A R 2 months agoI recall coming here 20 years ago as an undergraduate at UWM- and it was great to visit again. Cracker crust style pizza with a lot of good options for toppings. Staff did a good job with service.
Natalie Deda 6 months agoMe and a friend had dinner here last night and I will absolutely be telling everyone I know to come here! We got eggplant fries to share and she got the Pesto Veggie pizza and I got the Alla Vodka Sandwich, both were delicious and super flavorful. Every thing was cooked perfectly. We even got the mini donuts and tiramisu to go for their Thursday special and they were great! Our waitress was so kind and attentive and was great at pointing out the best stuff on the menu. I will definitely be back to try more stuff soon!
