I was just walking down the sidewalk minding my own business, and this dude..outa nowhere comes up and says "Forgettaboudit" I gave him a puzzled look...and he says it again! So, I ask him what's the deal? Then he says he just ate the best lasagna he's ever had, he says the chef at Luigi's Restaurant must be right off the boat from Italy, it was so good I gotta go home and watch the Godfather movie! Well, the only reply I could think of was...Forgettaboudit, and off I went to Luigi's to see for myself..and, the dude was right, the Lasagna from Luigi's was amazing! 5 ☆☆☆☆☆'s for sure!

If you go to Bakersfield and do not visit Luigi's, that's better for everyone waiting to get in. There's a reason it's been successful for over 115 years, the people, the atmosphere, the service, and best of all, the food. Disregard anyone not giving Luigi's 5-stars. Can't wait to come back and try different foods. Today was the Pierucci Pastrami and adding that cheese and roasted red pepper to the sandwich is amazing. The roll from the nearby Pyrenees Bakery was prefect and fresh. Best place to start the weekend.

Been going to Luigi's since I was a little girl! My Dad (Saba's Mens Store) and I would walk down the street and talk about what we were going to have 🍝🥗 usually a 1/2 & 1/2 or a Monica salad. Now I go with my daughters and enjoy the same delicious and timeless food! Luigi's is truly a slice (butter finger pie) of heaven on earth 💗

Never been here before. I went for an event. Huge place. Id definantly go again on my own time so I can explore the store and the bar and the deli. From all the cars parked blocks away and the people walking to it shows it's a legit place to go to. 😁

First of all if you are planning on enjoying this restaurant during a weekend day please reserve as delays are usually very long. We ordered a New york stake, green/white pastas and a side salad. We also ordered some a ravioli plate. They start you off with some very plain sourdough.. and no oils or sauces to start with. I was told some simple olive oil for my appetizer was extra cost. The steak was completely burnt even though I had ordered it as medium-well. The seasoning was great I have to say but the meat was just to burnt. Our pastas where delicious. Overall we liked it but it wasn't what we expected. I will be coming back to try a different dish.
