Empire Board Games is cool with it’s coffee shop vibe and desserts. Slice and Dice on McMahon beats it in every category! The wide open feeling with the bay windows, customer service is 10/10 and the pizza is really good too. Games are cleaner(cards had penny sleeves!) and better cared for and there’s no per player/hourly fees. All around winner! We really enjoyed ourselves and will be coming back!

Slice and Dice is such a hidden gem! It’s a great space with a nice selection of games, or if you’re like me I enjoy coming to play MTG with friends. The pizza is fantastic and the service is phenomenal, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone of all ages!

Those who are lactose intolerant, REJOICE! My son is lactose intolerant and said the pizza was super delicious. We were happy to finally find a pizza place that offered cheese he could enjoy! They also offer salads, subs and appetizers like Wings. :) The vibe here is super chill and is perfect for all ages. They have a ton of fun board games to play while you are visiting also. I added photos of the Garden pizza. First one is with regular dairy cheese and the second is the vegan option. You can’t even tell the difference.^___^

I really love this place, especially because their gluten-free subs work with my dietary restrictions and still taste great. Just a heads-up, the bread is better untoasted and you might want to add extra meat since it's pretty thick. The wings get high praise from others, the table games are fun and well cared for, and the service is super helpful plus, the game shop has a solid selection at fair prices.

The original location of one of my favorite pizza resturants in Albuquerque seriously disappointed me the other day. Since S&D opened the second location on Wyoming, I've been going to that one since it's closer to where I live and holy cow, it knocks my socks off everytime I go. This visit was a little discouraging. The food quality wasn't that great and it looked like the pizza had been sitting for a little while before actually being served to us. We were waiting for a little while for our pizza but, that's to be expected and it's more often than not, worth the wait. It also left my partner with an upset stomach, which never happens after we visit S&D. There were a couple of really rude roleplaying groups at the resturant when my partner and I went as well. One group had a loud and demeaning DM; I play D&D so I know it can get exciting and being loud is apart of the fun but it was just hard to watch and listen to. There was also a group of Magic the Gathering players that just kept staring at my partner and I, which made us very uncomfortable because, well, we live in a world where not everyone takes too kindly to lgbtq relationships. So, we weren't sure what the reason was for this but it left us feeling a little unnerved. I really like the owners of S&D, I was really hesitant to even leave a review because I adore the Wyoming location but, it just kept bothering me and I just had to say something.
