I couldn't stop eating. That should tell you everything you need to know about this pizzeria. With the mom out, the boys wanted pizza and I haven't been to Waldos ever since they redid the "plaza". Rashid was an awesome server. My kids and a friend were goofing around with the order and he just laughed it out. You're very kind dude! We got mozzarella sticks which were tasty and the stretch out was insane....I had to step out of the booth and take a wide angle pic haha. The marinara sauce was incredible and gave me a glimpse into what to expect for the pizza Got a cheese (hand tossed) and a chicken pizza (garden pizza + chicken) - thin crust. Both were delicious. I'm not a fan of thin crust but yeah, that changed. I couldnt stop eating! Parking was a challenge as the restaurant is flanked by bars and we went on Saturday night....but the restaurant itself had plenty of seating. It's has these 3 x seating sections. I do wish they had a larger beer selection but I had a hankering for Hoegaarden and I got a Hoegaarden, so no complaints from me. Overall, a great spot for pizza, beers, and some arcade action!

We visited August 31 (Sunday), 2025, exploring pizza restaurants closer to where we live, and we ordered St. Louis style pizza. The wait was exceptionally long, to the point that we became very irritated by the time our pizza arrived. Likewise, our server ignored us often. The pizza was good, but not great. We won't be back, sadly.

The vegan cheese pizza was delicious and we loved it. That part was great, but the chicken Philly was not good. The chicken was like out of a bag of frozen squares. It was spongy and not flavorful. The sweet potato wedges, which wound up just being sweet potato fries, were bland as well. Their specialty is pizza, so we'll stick with ordering that.

solid pizza place with consistently good food. It can get busy from time to time, and you may have to wait for a table, especially during peak hours—but it’s generally worth it. The pizza is well made and satisfying, which keeps people coming back. Overall, a dependable spot if you don’t mind a short wait for quality pizza.

I first came here in February 2002, it was just after the ice storm of the century had just happened earlier. I lived on the Plaza by the Art Institute at that time. I had no power for a week in freezing weather. Thank God for Mr Heater. So, I would hang out in restaurants and bars to eat and get heat. I went to Waldo Pizza a little time after the ice storm. I guess my girlfriend and I were the first in the restaurant right after the storm. Just as the place re-opened. The owner Phil Bourne took our order himself. We ordered a couple Pizzas and beers the owner said you guys like ribs we said yes. That was it. We got our beers head to the salad bar!! We comeback to the table there are two baskets of rib tips the owner said it was on the house. Phil said the place just had been opened for maybe 6 hrs so far. Everything in the walk-ins had to be thrown away the next morning. So, Phil said not wasting any food. He said is that cool. Ah yeah! The two Pizzas must have been 2lbs each. Both pizzas were thin crust pizzas at least 1" to 1 1/2" thick the owner again said if I don't use these toppings it is pitched. Butter cake for dessert again on the house! After that I don't know had many times we had been there. Hell, my Dog loves Waldo Pizza! Delivery people come by with food delivery. Humboldt is a jumping 3 ft in the air when it arrives. I haven't been in since this group bought it. I Miss the area then. Different today.
