EDIT 5/7/26: Honestly guys, no idea why this location has anything under 5 stars. Don't know what people are thinking when they leave terrible reviews. Long story short, if you want the best pizza and the best service, go to the Southwest location I recently returned for pizza and, as expected, they proved to me why Minsky's is the best pizza in the city. We had their Wagyu and their Chicago deep dish. I thought the Wagyu would just be a gimmick, but I was incredibly wrong, one of the best pizzas I've ever had. I wish they had it on their menu permanently The other was their deep dish pizza with pep, sausage, bacon and alfredo sauce instead of marinara and it absolutely blew me away. Everything about it was perfect and the crust is without a doubt the best I've had on any Chicago style pizza Our server Shannon was incredibly nice and attentive. She deserves all the praise she gets and more. She made the entire visit even more perfect than it already was! Real talk, just go eat there. You know what you're getting and that's simply of the best pizza in KC. So very excited to be back this Sunday to try their Al Pastor Street Taco pizza. See you there! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I never understand negative reviews for any Minskys location -- I'm always treated like gold when I walk in and this time was no exception. The girl at the front was extremely nice, the only people who were not attentive were the customers that walked in while I was waiting for my order. This was Saturday, 4/11/26 My most recent visit was a simple one -- I bought a ball of dough in order to make a Detroit style pizza at home, it got me rave reviews from 3 different people that tried it, as I expected Have no idea what people with negative reviews are on about, this location has always been amazing

I had the Phillies cheesesteak pizza.It had puffs of cheese on it that tasted sooooo good. We also had the fried beef and sausage ravioli and boneless wings for appetizers. Those were so good as well. And if you don't want pizza they have burgers and chicken and pasta!!! Lots of great choices.

We're on a long road trip and decided to order a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese, some apps, and cookies. We received a basic cheese pizza, which is obviously cheaper but we were charged for the pepperoni and extra cheese. We went ahead and ate it because we have to get up early. There was no cheese pull. And the pizza tasted similar to Domino's. Not great for a higher priced place. The cookies were good. That's about all I can say.

Minsky’s Pizza on Southwest Boulevard offers a mixed experience that’s solid in some areas but falls short in others, landing it squarely in the average category for me. Starting with the positives: The pizza is genuinely very good—crispy crust, flavorful toppings, and generous portions that make it worth the visit if you’re craving a slice. The staff is another highlight; they’re very nice, attentive, and quick to help, which adds a friendly vibe despite other issues. On the flip side, the room itself feels off and not at all warm or welcoming. It’s a bit stark and uninviting, which detracts from the overall atmosphere. The chairs at the bar are awkwardly too tall, making it uncomfortable to sit and enjoy your meal there. And the soda is consistently flat-tasting, which is disappointing when you’re pairing it with pizza. Additionally, the parking lot is dark at night and doesn’t feel safe, which is a concern especially if you’re dining in the evening or leaving after dark. Overall, I’d give it 3 out of 5 stars—great food and service, but the ambiance, little details, and safety aspects need some tweaks to elevate it. I’d come back for takeout, but maybe skip dining in.

The server Cara is always fantastic. She always takes care of us and remembers little details about our preferences like extra plates, extra napkins, and where we like to sit. She's an outstanding and attentive server. Minsky's is a go-to spot for us and we love the pizza, wings and atmosphere.
