Buffalo State Pizza has quickly become our go-to spot when it comes to pizza. The pies are consistently excellent, with great flavor and quality every time. On top of that, they have a solid beer selection that pairs perfectly with the food. The service is always friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. This place truly feels like a neighborhood favorite—we keep coming back and are never disappointed.

Our “ladies lunch squad” dined at Buffalo State Pizza at 1815 Wyandotte St., in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. There are a number of adjectives to describe the atmosphere… warm, casual, rustic, eclectic. And the pizza is amazing! The menu is extensive — with a large variety of pizzas to choose from (including build your own), plus salads, sandwiches, calzones, and a plethora of beverages! They also have “Summer Salt” ice cream and old-school pinball machines. Last but not least, the service is excellent! I’m excited about dining there in the future.

Day 2 and this pizza still smack as hard as it did the night before! 100/100 recommend! Last night I demolished 3/4 of 14” I shared with my best friend! It’s the kind of pizza that you don’t want to share with anyone else but yourself! I have been thinking & talking about this place all day! One of, if not, the best pizza spot in KC! I would duel anyone over the last slice! Mouth filled with drooled waiting to enrich my body with its oooie gooieness!

I was downtown on business and decided to stop in on friday night for a quick bite. FOOD: 5⭐️ I ordered a slice of the Green Queen. The thin crust was just right, it had the perfect amount of sauce,and the toppings were a tasty combination and hit the spot! Thankfully they cut it into manageable pieces, because it was definitely a large slice!! The slice is larger than the photo shows. The photo DOES NOT do it justice. SERVICE: 5⭐️ The young lady who took my order was SUPER helpful and friendly. I told her I had forgotten my glasses and she helped me with a few suggestions. She was very sweet. 🤩 ATMOSPHERE: 5⭐️ I totally appreciated the chill, college-town vibe and I was pleasantly suprised when LIVE MUSIC began to play! Holy smokes! I am sensitive to loud noise, so the volume was perfect and their style was SO pleasant (kind of folky and chill). Younger adults and young families were eating at the tables, and I saw a few sitting and enjoying drinks at the bar. Loved what I saw! What a great place!! In summary... I am super happy I tried this this place and I will DEFINITELY be recommending AND returning with my loved ones. 💯 recommend. 🎯

We were very excited to finally try Buffalo State but sadly it did not hit like we expected. Breadsticks were very good. Crust was thick and crunchy edges and well seasoned. The Maverick pizza- toppings and sauce were good but the crust was very disappointing. Thin and crispy with little flavor. Atmosphere was ok pretty retro with games and seating. Great happy hour pints were $5 with wide variety of beers on taps. As for service you order at the bar and pizza and drinks came quick.
