Looks can be deceiving. And TV often steers a crowd when it comes to North End dining. But if you want really good food and great service, Benevento's is the spot. I'm a decent cook myself, but told my wife as I left that I have to tip my hat to them for the bolognese sauce. My son had lasagna and said it was the best he's ever had. My wife's pizza was perfect ...the sauce was just the right blend of sweet and tangy. Really good stuff. It's not too pricey either ... family of four with tip walked out right at $100

We had a delicious meal as a family of four. Michael talked us into giving it a try after he heard we have experienced quality Italian food in many areas. We had a variety of dishes- veal parm, mussels marinara, chicken marsala, and shrimp Diablo. They were all very good, prepared with quality ingredients. The complimentary limoncello following the neal was a nice touch.The service was excellent and friendly. The prices were extremely reasonable.

We were seated sooner than they said. Food was served quickly and was delicious! We got a pepperoni and bacon pizza, pasta carbonara and pasta Alfredo. Fed six adults but we ate every noodle and slice! Would definitely recommend!

Great food/pizza and pasta 😋 so yum! Shrimp Caesar salad for two was perfectly dressed and a great appetizer. Small place, reservations are recommended. Quaint place with a nice atmosphere. Lovely and attentive servers. They do not offer dessert but plenty of pastries on the block including Mike's pastries down the street.

They fit us in on a busy Saturday evening, pre-hockey game at the Garden. Thank you for that! We chose to share a couple of appetizers. The Lobster Ravioli and sauce was wonderful. The Sautéed Calimari in its accompanying sauce ... beautifully spicy, deliciously cooked. The bruschetta was fresh and light. We enjoyed some dirty martinis to go with. And the staff was so nice, friendly, and accommodating (I was worried about only ordering apps). We both said we'd like to come back for a more relaxed dining experience (the rush was on our part). This is definitely one to continue to enjoy. Highly recommend.
