Terry Bowler a month agoBefore heading off to work for the evening, my coworker and I needed a good lunch spot within walking distance. After reading a few local reviews, we landed on SliceWorks—and I’m glad we did. Walking in, we were greeted by a friendly staff and an impressive display of pizza options. If you’re like me and willing to try something new, this is your kind of place. At the recommendation of the staff, I ordered a slice of the Jalapeño Popper Pizza and a slice of Grandma’s Pizza, along with a Birch Beer that immediately reminded me of my Western New York roots. The Jalapeño Popper pizza was the star of the show. Cream cheese, jalapeños, mozzarella, cheddar, and grape jelly sounds like a combination that shouldn’t work—but somehow it absolutely does. Sweet, spicy, creamy, and loaded with flavor. One bite and I understood why people talk about it. The Grandma’s slice was also excellent. Thick, hearty, and packed with flavor. In fact, it was so substantial that one slice would have made a perfectly satisfying lunch. But when you’re visiting Denver and may never get the chance to come back, trying two different slices seemed like the right decision. After I finished eating, I stopped by the counter to compliment them on the Jalapeño Popper pizza. That’s when I learned it had been featured on Food Network. Suddenly it all made sense. Apparently, my taste buds were onto something. Great staff, unique pizza, a classic brick-oven atmosphere, and a fun downtown location. If you’re in Denver and looking for pizza that’s anything but ordinary, SliceWorks deserves a stop. And take it from me—order the Jalapeño Popper. It sounds crazy. It tastes amazing. 🍕🔥😋
Shayer S 2 months agoFriendly and non pretentious, pretty much the complete opposite of the vibe you usually get in this area of Denver. Staff was chill and welcoming and the overall experience was pretty good. The place itself is small but clean, with a couple TVs inside. The pizza was good and actually affordable compared to pretty much everything else nearby. Definitely worth seeking out if you don’t want to wait in line during busy hours and pay outrageous prices for mediocre food in the area. The buffalo chicken slice was really good. The Big Mac slice was definitely unique, it actually tasted like a Big Mac, right down to the sesame seed crust. Both slices were a decent size and filled me up fast. Wanted to try a few more slices but I was too full by that point. A few small things could make the experience even better: having a menu with prices visible, maybe a 2 slice/ drink combo special and a few more Parmesan and Pepper shakers around. Overall though, I’d definitely go back.
Per Höddelius a month agoI’m not sure I can even name a better pizza place I’ve been to. At this point, I’ve probably spent too much time trying every pizza on the menu, but the incredible dough and huge variety keep pulling me back in again and again. If it’s your first visit, do yourself a favor and go for the Big Mc Pizza — thank me later. And to top it off, the staff has always been top notch. This place just keeps making it way too easy to come back.
Matalielisa 2 months agoWe got the square pepperoni slice which I loved the crispy end texture , soft and buttery inside and flavor was as expected as a regular pizza flavor. Nothing crazy for flavor but still good! I got the stuffed meat slice the stuffed part is STUFFFEDD but not too much flavors besides meat. The atmosphere is chill and vibrant Service - friendly staff Ready in under 5-10 minutes 😎🙏🏼 Awesome choice to get a meal The wings were crispy, juicy, and had so much flavor.
Jared Hack 3 weeks agoHonestly, some of the best pizza in Denver. Perfect cool, delicious sauces and toppings. Hard to ask for more. The Big Mac pizza, tastes JUST like the real thing and it's addicting. Every pie is unique and made with care and love. Are there better pizzas out there? Sure. I haven't experienced even a fraction of a percent of pizza in the world, but for what's in Denver, it's pretty damn great!
