Speak Cheezy is definitely good pizza — but this is one of those places where you have to lean into the specialty pies. That’s where they shine. Creative, bold, and worth it. The classic cheese pizza? Solid, but the presentation was… a little chaotic. Sloppy enough that it makes you wonder how things hold up when they’re deep in the rush. And to be fair, they are busy — almost too busy. It feels like demand might be slightly outpacing the manpower, especially when the kitchen is juggling pizza and a ton of wing orders. Speaking of wings — I’d skip them unless you’re really craving wings and don’t want to think too hard about it. They weren’t anything memorable, and serving piping hot wings in plastic containers (that start to warp from the heat) is… not ideal. Eating melted-plastic-adjacent wings while dining in isn’t exactly the vibe. Which brings us to dining in — it’s basically not the move. Seating is tight, not particularly comfortable, and a lot of people end up just waiting around before taking their food to-go anyway. This place is clearly built for takeaway, not lingering. Bottom line: come for the specialty pies, grab it to-go, and enjoy it somewhere more comfortable. When you play to their strengths, it’s a win. Quick Read: Order a specialty pie Skip the wings Avoid rush hour (they get overwhelmed and underperform) Don’t dine in Enjoy!

Stopped in to try a slice of pizza and had a pleasant experience. The staff was nice and explained the different freshly baked slices out for the day. The pizza was among the best I’ve had in years. I’d go back to try the Detroit pizza next time. Free street parking out front, this stretch isn’t too busy so parking is readily available

Sourdough pizza is having a revival and this place has some flavorful options and cordial staff. The toppings are not as prominent as they are in the pictures (on the tv menu) and there really isn’t any comfortable seating, but you can tell this place thrives on to go orders. It made us nervous that while we were waiting inside we couldn’t actually smell any pizza, but it came out hot (and pretty good) so if you want to eat inside at the benches or the long table, at least you know you won’t leave smelling like garlic bread. Location is not terrible and the prices were a little inflated but it might be worth it to try again.

We were in the Long Beach area and stopped at this random pizza place, and were surprised to find it was the best pizza we ever had in all of California. We like to try different pizza places. We've found a few good ones (Fuoco in Fullerton was good) and a lot of mediocre ones, but this pizza was seriously great! Now we stop here every time we are near Long Beach. It is packed with flavor and perfectly browned. Delicious! I could eat it every day. The pizza crust alone is delicious. There were two very cool, friendly guys working, and lots of people were dropping in to pick up pizza. The place is small but comfortably seated our party of three adults and three kids. Fast service with no real wait. All in all, it was outstanding. Five stars. Craving it now!

Awesome lunch special for slice, half salad, and can! Great flavors, bread, and crust on both the square Brooklyn Bae and Spicy Meatball.
